Do you offer pediatric dentistry?
Locust Valley Dental practice provides dental health care to children of all ages. We follow the academy of pediactric’s remmomendation for providing dental health care beginning as early as age one for infants. Dr. Kozlowski has been providing infant, toddler, and adolescent dental care in a caring and nurturing manner for more than a decade. She focuses on preventive treatment and engages each child to help make the visit to the dentist a pleasant and restful experience. Where possible, technology is leveraged in the form of pain free lasers and overhead DVDs to give each child a one of a kind enjoyable visit to the dentist. Parent education on the dental care needs of their children is incorporated into each child’s visit.
I have a fear of the dentist, do you offer anything that can help?
Dr. Kozlowski over the course of her eleven years of dentistry has worked with a multitude of phobic patients. Dental phobia is very common among the dental patient population. Our practice’s philosophy addresses the needs of the patient to ensure a pleasant experience. Our staff is compassionate and empathetic. We offer nitrous conscious sedation (laughing gas), which facilitates relaxation for the patient. Oral sedations, for example Valium, can also be used to help relax patients, following a patient consult and exam. We take the time and care necessary to learn about our patient’s fears and design our dental regimine to accommedate them. We offer the relaxing amenities of patient choice in audio headset music and visual DVD and cable TV entertainment, all of which help distract the patient while s/he receives their dental treatment. Friendly staff, large windows, high ceilings, and a warm ambiance also help our patients feel comfortable visiting our office.
Do you do a lot of cosmetic dentistry?
Locust Valley Dental Group specializes in cosmetic dentistry. We recognize that a person’s smile can be life changing. Treatment plans range from corrrecting the shape of your teeth with veneers or crowns to complete re-construction of gum lines and placement of implants designed to enhance your smile. A simple change in the color of your teeth can actually change the appearance of your smile. Each case is designed using digital photography and models of each patient’s existing teeth. We replicate your mouth on a lab articulator and then design your new smile on a replicated model so that you can see the resulting goal of your treatment plan prior to commencement of the treatment.
Do you offer teeth whitening?
Yes, we offer two different systems for whitening your teeth. The first option available is a single visit in-office laser associated whitening of teeth. The total time frame of treatment is thirty minutes. The second option available is a two visit take home whitening kit. Please visit our office for a free consultation on which option is best for your smile.
Do you perform dental implant procedures?

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
Frequency of cleaning depends on the health of your periodontum or gum tissue. Every individual’s mouth and oral health is different. A patient with no periodental issues should have two cleanings and two exams each year to maintain optimum oral health. Patients with periodontal issues should have four cleanings each year with examinations to monitor bone and gum levels.
